I want to do research/ write my dissertation on an MBTI® related topic. Are there any resources available to me?
CPP, the publisher of the MBTI instrument, offers reduced prices on MBTI assessments for researchers and scholars. The details are here. For details about what CPP's research division can offer, see this.
CAPT, Center for Applications of Psychological Type, offers some research consultation and assistance. If you would like CAPT's assistance with your project, please forward as much detailed information as possible regarding your research questions and design. Send your inquiries to research@capt.org and someone will contact you for a consultation. Depending on the nature and scope of the research, service charges may apply.
In addition, you are welcome to search the MBTI bibliography, which is a database of published materials related to the MBTI instrument or psychological type. Most of the items listed in the MBTI bibliography are housed in the Isabel Briggs Myers Memorial Library, both of which are maintained by CAPT. It is not a lending library but many documents are available via CAPT's library materials scanning service. If you would like copies of listed items, send your request (including the full reference for each item) to library@capt.org. The cost for this service is reasonable and payment is by credit card.
