"Whether people first hear about the two kinds of perception and two kinds of judgment as children, high school students, parents or grandparents, the richer development of their own type can be a rewarding adventure for the rest of their lives."

–Isabel Myers

CAPT training programs include basic Qualifying Training for the MBTI and other instruments.

Who is qualified to administer the MBTI® instrument?

You must have special training, called MBTI Qualification, to administer the Myers Briggs Type Indicator® instrument. To find someone who can administer the instrument, you might begin by inquiring at career centers, counseling centers, or local colleges and continuing education programs. Many churches, temples, or other religious organizations also use the MBTI instrument.

In the United States, you can contact the Association for Psychological Type (APT) for the names of qualified MBTI practitioners in your area and for information about local chapters of APT. Such chapters will have the names of local qualified administrators.

For a list of MBTI organizations in other countries, go to MBTI Organizations. The publisher CPP, Inc., licenses the distribution of the MBTI instrument to specific world-wide distributors.

For a list of the MBTI qualified practitioners who are also MBTI Certified, go to the MBTI Certification Web site.
