The MBTI instrument is a restricted assessment tool and requires
qualification in order to administer it to others. To become qualified,
a practitioner must be trained in the use and interpretation of
the instrument either through previous academic study or by taking
courses designed specifically to meet MBTI qualifications guidelines.
In addition to ensuring the ethical and accurate use of the Indicator,
such training also provides the practitioner with methods and
knowledge for assisting clients in understanding MBTI results
and for using that information in various aspects of the clients’
lives.
A list of current organizations that are authorized to provide
training in the use the MBTI instrument is available at
CPP, Inc.
